If there is
no promise
of a next
or some
everlasting life
would each
moment then be
savored as
exceedingly
precious?
If it took
an exact
precise primordial
soup of salt water
dancing proteins
and an artful stroke of
violent lightning
in randomness
and chaos
to cause
life here
and we are
but one
fantastic
anomaly
life never to be known
before to any star
and maybe never ever
a similar
confluence again
would you live
this life
without fear,
without hesitation?
Drinking deeply
from the cup of rasa
our cosmic
bliss birthright?
Or rather
squander it
in the fetid familiarity
of suffering
small
frozen
redundant
false
trapped
owned
bitter
resolute in
a self imposed
damp cool
concrete prison
only waiting to
exhale?
Ah
no.
I breathe deeply
into my abdomen
soft warm stardust
belly protrudes
one life as me
once that’s all
there are no
answers
~ just stories ~
before
silence.

*rasa (Sanskrit: रस) literally means “juice, essence or taste”
John Lennon Lyrics
“Imagine”
“Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today… Aha-ah…
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace… You…
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one”
